There are two options to obtain your refund money

直接存款

点击 myBanner 输入您的网络ID和密码, 选择学生, 选择学生帐户, 选择学生帐户资料, 选择“退款直接存款设置”, 输入您的银行转帐号码, Bank Account Number and Bank Account Type, 媒体继续. You will receive a confirmation email that will be sent to your GVSU email address. When we 不ify your financial institution of your refund you will receive a 不ification by email and receive your direct deposit within 48 hours.

  • The excess amount will be deposited into your bank account 
  • This option is 不 available to Guardian/Family Proxy Users.
  • It is 不 required to open an account with any specific financial institution in order to receive a refund.

If you have a direct deposit setup but would rather have a check mailed to you, follow the steps in 1 above and then check the box that says stop direct deposit.

If you have paid on your account with a credit card, any excess monies will be refunded back to that credit card.

If you have excess monies available, you will be allowed to charge your books to your student account at the University Bookstore.
Students can charge their books for 2024年夏天 1st 6 week & 12周学期 starting April 15, 2024 and ending May 10, 2024.
Students can charge their books for 2024年夏天 2nd 6 week semester starting June 17, 2024年,6月28日结束, 2024.

2024年夏季超额财政援助

Distribution of 2024年夏天 financial aid refunds will be processed by May 17, 2024 夏季2024年1月6日 week and 12周学期.
Distribution of 2024年夏天 financial aid refunds will be processed by July 5, 2024 for Summer 2024 2nd 6 week semester.

Please 不e it may take a few days to be available to you.  After that date refunds are processed on a daily basis.


学费退款计算

When a student drops a course during the refund period, their total number of credits will be recalculated and the difference between the old assessment and the new assessment will be refunded. If the course is dropped during the 75%退款期限, the new assessment will include 25% of the credits for the course dropped.

100%退款期限

2024年夏天

The 100% refund must be completed by May 10, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. 夏季2024年1月6日 & 12周学期.

The 100% refund must be completed by June 28, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. for Summer 2024 2nd 6 week semester.

 

示例1

If a student taking 15 credits drops 3 credits during the 100%退款期限, their total credits will be recalculated to 12 credits. block rate是12到15个学分. In this example the tuition rate for 12 credits is the same as 15 credits and a refund will  生成.

示例2

If a student taking 13 credits drops 3 credits during the 100%退款期限, their credits will be recalculated to 10 credits. Since students pay less when they drop below the block rate (less than 12 credits), a refund for the difference between 10 credits at the per-credit rate and the 12-15 block credit rate will 生成.


75%退款期限

2024年夏天

The 75% refund must be completed by May 17, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. 夏季2024年1月6日 week semester.

The 75% refund must be completed by May 31, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. 为夏季2024 12周学期.

The 75% refund must be completed by July 5, 2024 by 5:00 p.m. for Summer 2024 2nd 6 week semester.

The posted refund deadlines apply to courses that meet the entire semester. Classes that meet for only part of the semester have different refund deadlines.

家长加贷款退款

Parent PLUS loans will first apply to all charges on the student’s account.  If there are excess funds from the parent plus loan after paying off the student’s account, a refund will be issued to the student unless the parent borrower has requested the refund to be sent to them.  If the parent borrower has requested the refund be sent to them, a check will be mailed to the address given on the Plus Loan application.  The GVSU Banner system applies all payments to charges and determines how the funds will be disbursed.
